Mountain Safety

Woodward does not permit uphill travel of any kind on summer mountain bike terrain or winter snow terrain.

To ensure a safe experience year-round, we work closely with leading industry organizations. As active members of the National Ski Areas Association, Ski California, and Ski Utah, we partner on education and resources that help every guest enjoy a safe visit to our mountains.

Helmets

Woodward Park City encourages helmet use. Helmets can reduce some head injuries but cannot prevent all accidents. All guests share responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.

Pads & Markings

Not every obstacle or hazard is marked. When present, markers highlight hazards but cannot ensure safety. Guests must stay alert, avoid obstacles, and follow Your Responsibility Code.

SKI UTAH

Ski Utah is the marketing arm of the Utah Ski & Snowboard Association and has promoted Utah’s winter sports since 1975. The organization also manages skiutah.com, the go-to source for up-to-date snow reports and travel information.

SAFETY & WELLNESS TEAMS

At Woodward, we have a dedicated team focused on the safety and wellness of our staff and guest communities. Our Mountain Patrol staff is trained and experienced in responding to medical emergencies and providing top-of-line care to ensure our guests can safely participate in their sport.  

Our Mountain Patrol Teams lead our First Aid and Athletic Training Centers. These experienced professionals are certified through several programs, including Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Outdoor Emergency Care, and Wilderness First Aid Responder Programs. 

Our Athletic Training Rooms provide our medical staff with a space to treat guests with minor injuries. The Athletic Training Rooms also provide our staff with resources for the prevention, evaluation, and care our guests need to succeed in their sport. Our First Aid Rooms provide our medical staff with a broader level of resources, allowing them to accommodate multiple guests simultaneously.

 

HEALTH & SAFETY PARTNERSHIPS 

During our Summer Camp operations, we have additional medical support for our guests that our Health Care partners provide, including on-site athletic trainers and nurses.
